If you often have to handle confidential information (passwords, credit card numbers, etc.) or just large amounts of data using the clipboard, the latter can be easily cleared with the help of command line. To facilitate this operation, you can create a shortcut, the explanation how to do this follows.

To create a shortcut, click the right mouse button on the free space on the desktop, in the shortcut menu, select New → Shortcut.

New Shortcut

In the opened wizard, in the line "Specify the location of an object" enter (the quotes are not necessary):

cmd /c "echo off | clip"
Create Shortcut
Create Shortcut 2

Click "Next" button, specify the name of the label then confirm the creation with the button "Finish". Now every time you run the shortcut, the clipboard will be cleared. In order not to scare other users of the computer by the command line icon, you can replace it with a more appropriate one: in the shortcut properties (RMB → Properties), click the button "Change Icon", select the desired or available from the standard set in the file C:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll, for example.
